Proper Classrooms required for Osborne Primary

A Petition has been circulated supporting the funding of redevelopment works for Osborne Primary School:

"The Petition of citizens of the Mornington Peninsula draws to the attention of the Legislative Assembly the failure of the Victorian Government to provide Osborne Primary School with it’s full entitlement to permanent classrooms; noting that the school is currently below the Government’s schedule of entitlement. The school cannot provide a 21st century learning environment with the existing rundown buildings.

The Petitioners therefore request the Legislative Assembly of Victoria ensure that urgent attention is given to developing a plan of action, with dates, to upgrade facilities at the school so that the children can have the best opportunity to ‘Shine’."

The Petition will be tabled in early February 2010. All pages should be returned to the office at 2/364 Main Street or mailed to P O Box 2000, Mornington 3931 by 1st February.
