Mr MORRIS (Mornington) — In recent weeks I have had the privilege of visiting a number of local adult and community education organisations to mark their success in obtaining grants to expand their services, improve efficiency and offer new courses.
Mornington Community Contact received $25 000 to increase new learner engagement; Mount Eliza Village Neighbourhood Centre received $30 000 for bridging the learning access gap through the development of an e‑learning plan; and OzChild received a total of $96 100 for two programs, including assistance to develop learning engagement strategies for young people through the use of social media.
Through these funds the service delivery capacity of all three organisations is strengthened.
